Some stylistic observations

BZ to Judge Stuky for another opinion written in Garnerian BLUF (bottom-line-up-front) fashion. (BLUF is actually an Army acronym, but it is a nice shorthand for Garner's recommended opinion style.) See United States v. Freeman, __ M.J. ___, No. 06-0833/AF, slip op. at 2 (C.A.A.F. Feb. 1, 2008). And a double BZ for not including a rote recitation of the granted issues in all caps starting with the word "WHETHER," but rather explaining the granted issues in lucid prose at the outset.

And another BZ to Judge O'Toole of NMCCA for setting out the assignments of error using the more readable standard capitalization rather than all caps. See United States v. Salinas, __ M.J. ___, No. NMCCA 200700331, slip op. at 2 n.1 (N-M. Ct. Crim. App. Jan. 29, 2008).
