BREAKING NEWS: Gray files for stay in U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas [UPDATED]

Ronald Gray has filed a motion for appointment of counsel and stay of execution in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. Because the Commandant of the USDB is Colonel Gray, the name of the case is Gray v. Gray. The case number is 08-3289-RDR. I've posted the motion on CAAFlog.com. Here's a link.

As far as I can tell from PACER, the Habe has NOT yet been filed - only an Application for a Stay and Appointment of Counsel.

The Gov't would not consent to a Stay until the Habeas was filed, so erring on the side of caution, like they fly Gray to Indiana in the middle of the night, they appear to have filed in Kansas today.

Funny, the case is Gray v. Gray. I am sure Pvt. Gray hopes the divorce does not go through.

Even people who are against the death penalty don't mind if this guy tastes the poison.

What? And deprive the People of the State of North Carolina, their right to enforce a State Detainer?
