And then there was one: a CAAFlog contest

If I count correctly, there is but one opinion of the court remaining to be announced this CAAF term: United States v. Wilcox, No. 05-0159/AR. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to predict the date on which CAAF will issue its opinion in Wilcox. Please post your answers NLT 2100 EDT tomorrow, 10 July. In the case of a tie, the earliest posted answer wins.

The winner will receive a coveted CAAFlog t-shirt with "Military justice blogs are to blogs as military music is to music" on the back.

I like dates. Big trivia: I missed one other famous ball. On April 8, 1974, Henry Aaron hit his record-breaking home run over my head. I bet you many of you didn't know I was playing outfield that day.

I think CAAF will mimick the Supreme Court and demand the production of all opinions post-haste. The decision is written and is being circulated and tweaked now.

Predicted release: This FRIDAY, July 11.

I don't think CAAF will let this one slip through the wickets so quickly. I think CAAF wil decide the case on the all important "Clownfish is Our Friend . . . Parrot Fish, Not So Much, Day" during Coral Reef Awareness Week.

More trivia for Billy Buck:

Tom House caught Hammerin' Hank's 715th homer in the Atlanta bullpen.

I have no idea but I can't turn down a chance at a t-shirt.

Predicted release: August 28

I could have used Tom House's glove in October of 1986.

Today is the day...........I'm standing by, in a defensive posture, for this decision. I am bending over. I'm ready.

(Quick Rorschach test: At this point, my posture spawns two possible species of jokes: a) baseball; b) dirty insinuation. Which one did you think of first? The winner gets my 1986 jersey.)

Okay, now that I've determined that Reef Awareness Week this year will be 25-31 July, I can pronounce JO'C the winner of the contest. BZ, JO'C!
