Government appeal in Chessani
Code 46 has filed an appeal challenging the military judge's ruling dismissing charges without prejudice in the prosecution of Lieutenant Colonel Chessani, as reported here by the North County Times.

Interesting side note... the article mentions that LtCol Chessani is represented by attorneys from the Thomas More Law Center, the proclaimed "Christian answer to the ACLU."
Independent of the merits of the charges against LtCol Chessani, the validity of the UCI claim, or the remedy fashioned by Col Folsom... does this case somehow boil down to some kind of threat against Christian values?
Perhaps a failure to observe the cardinal virtue of Prudence: couldn't the G have gotten a new referral faster than going the Art. 62 route?
Or, perhaps, of Justice?
